Q: Are your datacenters carrier neutral ?
A: Yes, customers who want to get their own internet connection are welcomed.

Q: Can I come in to trouble shoot an issue with my server ? Do I need to bring in keyboard, monitor etc ?
A: We do allow colocation customers only to come in and work on their servers. We will provide a cart that has monitor and a keyboard. All visitors need to contact the helpdesk at least 1 hour prior to their arrival

Q: Do you allow people to bring servers to your datacenter or do they have to be shipped in?
A: Customers who schedule with our NOC may bring their servers in.

Q: Do colocation servers have to be shipped to your datacenter or can I drop of my server in person ?
A: Colocation servers can be dropped off in person if the drop off is scheduled with at least 24 hour notice. We recommend using UPS or FEDEX when shipping your hardware in.

Q: Do I get my colocation hardware back should I cancel the account ?
A: Yes. You just need to pay shipping and handling.

Q: How do you handle return shipping of canceled servers or failed hardware? How much do you charge for shipping
A: We will pack your equipment and ship it back to you. We ship via UPS. Customer has to specify what how they want their package to be sent (overnight, 2nd day, ground). We charge $20 packing/handling fee + actual shipping cost.

Q: Do you insure your shipments ?
A: Any insurance has to be specifically requested by the customer and the customer has to provide the insured amount

Q: How do I ship my server to FDC ?
A: Shipping instructions are provided through our helpdesk. If you do not have access to our helpdesk, please contact sales@fdcservers.net to get a client account

Q: What if my server is damaged in shipping ?
A: Servers that come in damaged will be returned to the customer at their expense. FDCServers will not troubleshoot damaged colocation equipment. Be sure to properly pack and insure your equipment when shipping it in.

Q: Is my server insured for damage or loss by FDCServers ?
A: All insurance is customer`s responsibility

Q: How many power supplies am I allowed per server ?
A: We allow only 1 PSU hookup free of charge, any additional power drop is being billed $10/m

Q: When colocating multiple servers can I have private switch, external hard drives and other accessories ?
A: Yes however unless you are a customer with private rack/cabinet/shelf you may be charged for extra space and extra network/power drops

Q: Can I send you an external hard drive and have you send it back to me in few days ?
A: Yes we can but you will have to pay for shipping and handling.

Q: What are the charges for remote hands for replacing/adding hard drives, ram, etc?
A: Quick hardware swaps are complimentary. Remote hands that take more than 15 minutes are billed at $50/hr in 30 minute increments

Q: Can I send in spare parts and what happens if the parts are misplaced and are lost?
A: We do not store nor inventory spare parts for colocation customers. We suggest you have all spares in your server case or your rack/cabinet. FDCServers is not responsible for any misplaced or lost parts that are shipped to our datacenter

Q: Can I have an outside company package and ship my server out of the FDC facility?
A: Yes but the server pick up has to be properly scheduled through our helpdesk at least 48 hours before actual pick up.

Q: Does FDC save the original package material for shipping the serve back to me?
A: No but customers can have their original package material shipped back to them at their cost
